Our work includes offering utility assistance to those in the West End community. A limited number of appointments are available each month.
Assistance can be requested by calling in to (205) 781-0517 on the first Monday of every month between 9:00am and 9:30am. When calling in, please leave one message. All callers will have an equal chance to receive assistance, so please do not call right at 9:00am to ensure the system remains available for all callers.
Part of Urban Ministry’s work is to meet the needs of our neighbors with compassion and grace. WE Care offers a food co-op program where shelf-stable foods and dietary staples are provided at no charge to families who might otherwise not know where their next meal is coming from.
But the co-op doesn’t stop there. Co-op small groups are designed to help members fellowship and build trust with one another, aiming to build stronger community bonds.
